Experience

Phd in Medicine and Ph.D. in Parasitology, Frédérick GAY is mainly involved in the study of vector-borne diseases (parasitic and viral) and their respective control programs.It addresses these issues by combining biological, epidemiological, statistical, geographical (GIS) and socio-anthropological tools in a “One Health” approach. Responsible for various projects, he coordinated the regional malaria control programme in Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam funded by the European Commission (1997-2003). Moreover, drawing on his field experiences, he is particularly involved in teaching by developing new pedagogical and docimological tools.
