Experience

Glenn Roe is Professor of French Literature and Digital Humanities in the Faculty of Arts of Sorbonne University, where he is also a member of Center for the study of French language and literatures (CELLF UMR 8599) and scientific director of the LabEx OBVIL. His primary areas of research focus on French literature from 1750-1914, the literary and intellectual history of the Enlightenment, an in particular Voltaire, as understood through the interface with computational text analysis, data mining and machine learning techniques for humanities research. He received his PhD in French literature from the University of Chicago in 2010.
